The Twitch are a five piece rock band that hails from Vancouver, Canada. They are signed by the Australian record label, Blue Pie Records. The Twitch represents “Rock” in its truest sense and form.  Their influences are a kaleidoscope of the sixties, seventies, and what is now.  They are constantly writing songs, getting their music played on radio stations all over the globe, and playing the finest stages the world over, including Retrofest 2005, in Chilliwack, Canada.  They backed up legendary bands like The Edgar Winter Band, Rick Derringer, Blue Oyster Cult, Jefferson Starship & It’s A Beautiful Day! They also graced the stage of the infamous Whisky A Go Go, in West Hollywood California in 2011.  They inked down a music publishing deal with Harmonious Music and are now managed by them too in early 2012.  In the summer of 2012, The Twitch toured the state of California, and performed at the Indie Entertainment Summit, whch included performances at , Smooth Sound Multimedia, Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Whisky A Go Go, Doll Hut & the Rainbow Bar & Grill, all in  the Hollywood-Los Angeles-Anaheim area.  To end the tour, they did a performance at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco.  Their song Freak Flag gets over 1000+ spins on radio stations across the USA, and the video for Freak Flag on Youtube has over 225, 000 views!  They are attending the Indie Entertainment Summit 2013 in Los Angeles during August 7 – 11, and will be touring the Washington-Oregon-California-Nevada states in September.

“I’m a solo guitarist from the Bay Area who recently moved to Los Angeles. A brief rundown of who I am and how I got here…

I listen to every single genre there is to gain inspiration and appreciation for what is out there. Started with Hip Hop as a kid, progressed to House music, Rock, Metal, Reggae, Acoustic, and anything else and took bits and pieces out of each one to develop my technique.

I started playing the guitar around 8 years ago but it was mainly electric. That’s what I learned on at least. Started with CCR covers, and moved to heavier stuff like Metallica, Children Of Bodom, etc etc. Heavy metal was a huge influence in my early stages in developing my speed and dexterity and overall understanding of the instrument.

A couple years ago, I was introduced to Rodrigo Y Gabriela and have never heard or SEEN anything like that before. It always caught my attention and it made me pursue other similar artists like Marc Rizzo who combines Heavy metal instrumental riffing with Flamenco elements. Anywho, I purchased a nylon guitar and starting forming what I now do today. I use this style of guitar playing to combine every genre of music I enjoy and mix them all up.
